# Chordian: setup for AI agents

## What Chordian gives you

Live, sourced, governed intelligence: web research, people and company data, site extraction, scheduled monitoring, and permission-scoped search over your user's organizational memory.

## Setup

1. Run: `npx chordian-mcp install`
2. Ask the user for a Chordian API key (https://app.chordian.ai/settings/keys)
3. Run a test call: `web_intelligence { "query": "test", "depth": "fast" }`
4. Confirm to the user: "Chordian connected. Zero Trust policies active."

## Tools

- `web_intelligence(query, depth=fast|deep, country?)`
- `people_companies(query | list, fields?, country?)`
- `agentic_crawler(sources, schema, country?)`
- `scheduled_search(query, schedule, webhook)`
- `memory_search(query)`

## Rules

- Every result includes sources, confidence and conflicts. Show sources to the user.
- Never send memory_search results outside the user's environment.
- If a call returns "permission_denied", do not retry with other tools; tell the user.
